And so i won myself a pair of movie tix :)
know why?? hahaha so proud of myself.
that's my reward for being the 1st runner-up salesgirl in New Zealand Natural for the month of May :p
on a side note.....no chocs and chips and heaty stuff for 3 weeks :( :( :( this time not for diet (diet still can let loose and heck care lor) but for protecting da throat. ok lah on the bright side, Korea in 3 weeks' time!! heh. shall take the chance to cut some calories from snacks hohoho.
but i still snack. keke.
and and and i shall revert to being Miss Thrifty! i think i've spent too much after i started working. though i don't anyhow spend....no doubt those that i spend on i would classify as a need, perhaps the lower tier of a need, but still..i guess i have a serious lack of knowledge and wisdom on the ceiling of expenditure. maybe cos i lack experience and research on the boundary of the average market rate of items, that's why. and i realised 1 thing, i'm DAMN easily convinced by salespersons. DAMN EASILY, that's the word i'm using. oh my gosh. silly. next time i need to get stuff, i need to get some good people along. if not, no matter how good i am at saving, it will get sucked dry soon. :O damn sad. so best thing is i better don't spend!
oohhh anyway, i read something from an article, somewhere. it says, Try but don't Buy.
one of the further elaborations that caught me was that we can choose to buy things that brings us long-term happiness. for example, spend on someone else. true indeed, buying things for someone else does make one happy for some time. especially the joy of seeing the person receiving the gift with thanks and appreciation.. (:
&Dear God, be my God. Do not let me be my own God. Teach me to be more like You, to live out the love you constantly lavish on me. To love people and not seek return, not looking at benefits.Thank you Lord ;)
